03.06.2008 JUNE IN BERLIN

The month of June will be active as the festival season begins in Berlin. I will be performing various genres of music in and with different formations of musicians; jazz, African groove, New Orleans street band as well as soul and r&b. In summer in Berlin and Germany people spend as much time as possible outdoors, at side walk cafs and restaurants, beer gardens, botanical and schloss gardens, parks, lakes and river cruises. The clubs remain active but Strasse Fests and Open Air Festivals, such as Koepenic, are the venues of choice. I'd like to see you at my concerts.

10.05.2008 EARL BOSTIC IM MEMORIAM

Earl Bostic - an embracing soul... one who offers comfort by simply being in your life

I want to recognize the untimely passing of friend and bassist, Earl Bostic. We give a warm and heartfelt send off to one of our dear friends. A Detroit, Michigan native and resident of Berlin for 30 years, Earl passed on early this month, May 2008. His contributions to the community and the music scene in Berlin and Europe are significant. He was a talented professional, consistent and sincere.

All who are fortunate to have known this embracing soul and person miss him deeply. Earl was a human being, a man who cared about others. He possessed the gift of being an unconditional giver of affection, wisdom and comfort. The fact that he was a musicians´ musician is fundamental. Music is what he did. Earl Bostic was a gift from god to all of us.

I'll remember Earl with a smile and a tear of joy.
